Problem: pics_ag produces error message on command line and freezes GUI.

    Diagnostic :
  • pics_ag does not accept input from GUI oder command line after an error message has been issued.

    Explanation :
  • The pics_ag programme was stopped due to an error condition. This is not identic al to a complete crash. The situation can be recovered in most cases.

    Solution :
  • On IDL command line, type:
    
retall
    Continue to work with GUI.

    If this does not help, go to xterm, type: 
    Ctrl-C
    retall
    Continue to work with GUI.
